Details for the 2025 St George Club Championships

Format: Round Robin format, 90 minutes per player plus 30 seconds increment per move from move 1. Each player will be grouped into a division of players (usually 10) of similar ACF rating. Over the course of the event, you will eventually play all the other players in your group, one game per night. You will be advised of the schedule of your opponents after Week 1.
Catch-up Nights: There will be three ‘catch-up’ nights during the tournament, on which only the players who have missed a game need attend. However, other players are most welcome to come to the club and play social games. Dates of all rounds, and the catch-up nights, can be found on the club Calendar.
If you cannot come on a designated night: By Round 3, you will be given the contact details of all players in your division. Thus you will be able to advise your opponent that the game needs to be played at a different  time. Contact your opponent and the Club Captain no less than 24 hours before the designated time of the game. Where less than 24 hours prior notice is provided to the Club Captain by a player not able to attend, that player will forfeit the game. Club Captain: Charles Zworestine  charlesz@ozemail.com.au   0410 563 965
Rating: Games in all divisions will be ACF-rated. Divisions which meet the FIDE requirement of including four FIDE-rated participants will also be FIDE-rated.
Prizes: Trophies for the divisional place-getters (1st and 2nd) will be presented in November.
Byes: This is a round-robin tournament, therefore there are no byes.
Forfeit time: If you have not arrived by 30 minutes after the designated start of the game, your clock will have flagged, and your opponent will have won the game.
